APL
offers science and engineering internships each summer.
The program provides practical work experience and an introduction
to APL. Students spend the summer working with
APL scientists and engineers, conducting research, developing leadership
skills, and growing professionally. We will be accepting applications for the 2009 summer intern season beginning on 9/1/2008. Applications must be received by March 31.
One Hundred Forty-Five interns worked at APL this summer – a record number. The students ranged from freshmen to PhD level, from 61 colleges and universities. They worked on projects across the Lab in every technical department. And they had the opportunity to network throughout the summer at receptions, social events, seminars, and workshops. read more
The
students toured APL facilities and heard senior staff members talk about projects they’re working on. Brown-bag lunch events are scheduled on topics such as:
- APL Training & Development Resources
- Careers at APL
